Transform Your Smile With Porcelain Veneers or Lumineers®

Do you want a more beautiful smile but do not want to suffer through years of orthodontic and dental treatments to change the position, shape, and color of your teeth? Porcelain veneers or Lumineers may be the solution. Both are thin cosmetic shells that are custom designed for you and bonded to your teeth, literally covering cosmetic problems with no additional procedures necessary. White and Haines Advanced Dentistry offer porcelain veneers and Lumineers to completely make over your smile.

What Problems Can Veneers and Lumineers Correct?

Porcelain veneers and Lumineers are thin shells that cover the existing tooth structure. They will transform the shape, size, and color of your teeth and may be used to improve the following conditions:

  • Uneven or oddly shaped teeth
  • Enamel wear
  • Badly stained teeth
  • Poorly contoured teeth
  • Chipped or broken teeth
  • Gapped or misaligned teeth

How Are Porcelain Veneers Placed?

Veneers are customized with the shape and color selected by you and our doctors in your consultation. Your teeth are then prepared to accommodate them. Even though the shells are slim, some enamel must be removed to maintain your natural bite. An impression is taken and your veneers are fabricated, a process that may take up to three weeks. Once your custom shells are ready, our doctors will bond them permanently into place, using a strong yet slow acting adhesive that allows them to perfectly position the shells before the bond dries.

How Are Lumineers® Placed?

Surprisingly, Lumineers® are not placed in the exact same manner as porcelain veneers, even though they too, are thin shells. Lumineers® are much slimmer and do not require the removal of enamel. This allows us to permanently bond Lumineers® in place without any anesthetic shots or dental drills. We can transform your teeth with only two visits: the initial consultation and the final placement.
